Bridges Pathway
The Midwestern University Bridges Pathway is a diversity initiative aimed at increasing opportunities for aspiring students to pursue a health professions career.
Bridges Pathway provides qualified students admitted to the Biomedical Science Programs in the University’s College of Graduate Studies on the Downers Grove, Illinois, and Glendale, Arizona Campuses who are members of economically or environmentally disadvantaged populations with a clear path to achieving the goal of becoming a healthcare professional.
Students admitted to the Biomedical Science Master of Arts and Master of Science Programs who meet the Bridges Pathway eligibility requirements can apply for admission to the participating Midwestern University colleges for provisional early acceptance of the year preceding completion of their Biomedical Science Program. Detailed eligibility requirements for each eligible program can be found below:
- Bridges Pathway | Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM)
- Bridges Pathway | Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine (AZCPM)
- Bridges Pathway | College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (CDMA)
- Bridges Pathway | College of Dental Medicine-Illinois (CDMI)
The Bridges Pathway offers students an excellent foundation by giving them the opportunity to increase basic science knowledge and improve study skills. Graduate faculty mentoring and counseling will help students stay on track for success. With provisional early acceptance, students have a plan for their next academic step, allowing them to focus on their studies and improve their preparedness for their chosen doctoral program.
