Managing Your Telehealth Liability Risk

Physicians, advanced health care professionals, and their practices hurriedly implemented telehealth programs to meet pandemic demands and are now treating patients through a combination of in-person and telemedicine visits. As time and resources become available, physicians and practices can strengthen the quality of their telehealth programs and mitigate medical professional liability risk. To improve quality and mitigate risk, physicians and practices need practical information about scope of practice, informed consent, physical and mental health status examinations, in-office versus virtual appointments, and telediagnostic errors.

Your culture is a strength, not a barrier, so take your culture and apply it to every aspect of your journey. My advice to all my fellow brothers and sisters is to continue to dream without borders. I challenge the Latinx community to ask yourself: If not you, then who?
