Chaperone Clinical Study for Children with Nearsightedness (IL)

If your child has myopia (nearsightedness) he/she may qualify for the CHAPERONE Clinical Study, now being offered at select centers throughout the U.S.

Summary of Study

If your child has myopia (nearsightedness) he/she may qualify for the CHAPERONE Clinical Study, now being offered at select centers throughout the U.S. The study is testing 2 different strengths of microdosed atropine eye solution for slowing the
progression of myopia in children.

Initial eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 3 years - 12 years, with a diagnosis of myopia (nearsightedness)
  • Glasses or contact lens prescription of -1.00 to -6.00 diopters
  • Able and willing to use medication administered as a spray mist to each eye once daily before bedtime for a period of 4 years
  • No previous use of other myopia drug therapies (atropine, pirenzepene, or other topical anti-muscarinic drug)
