Does your cat have CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease)?
We are conducting a study to evaluate the impact of a dietary probiotic on the quality of life, body and muscle condition of cats with CKD.
Test Articles: Azodyl probiotic vs placebo
To be eligible to participate:
- Cats must be 8 years or older and weigh at least 5 pounds.
- Cats must also be diagnosed with CKD Stage 2 or greater.
- Cats cannot be pregnant, lactating or gestating.
- Additional criteria will be discussed during screening visit.
Schedule and general procedures:
- 5 visits include screening visit, Day 0, Day 30, Day 60, and Day 90.
- Each visit involves a physical exam, plus blood and urine collection.
- Cats must be able to take oral medication daily during the study.
