Midwestern University Faculty Member Earns Raise the Line International Teaching Award

Midwestern University sincerely congratulates Hilal Arnouk, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pathology, for receiving the 2022 Osmosis Raise the Line Faculty Award in the Medicine category. This award recognizes the incredible work of exceptional health educators who are helping to “raise the line” by improving the medical education standards. These inspirational educators embody the following core values in their teaching: start with the heart, reach further, imagine more, open your arms, and spread joy.
Dr. Arnouk was one of several educators from colleges and universities around the world nominated for this award. The award is presented by the visual learning healthcare education platform Osmosis by Elsevier which aims to utilize evidence-based learning science to create distinct content that turns complex medical concepts into easy-to-follow learning modules. More than 1,000 nominations covering 375 institutions were submitted for the 2022 Raise the Line Faculty Awards.
Dr. Arnouk was nominated by a group of Midwestern University students completing their graduate studies in osteopathic medicine, dental medicine, precision medicine, and optometry on the Downers Grove Campus. They wrote in his nomination, that "Dr. Arnouk is genuinely one of the most kind and humble faculty members at the entire University. He truly made a difference for me. He is full of energy and positivity. I have not met another professor that expresses enthusiasm like he does. Dr. Arnouk is my role model and he inspired me to go into academia."
