PharmAcademy for High School Sophomores & Juniors
Hands-on activities, laboratory exploration, and other fun, learning experiences for high school students interested in a pharmacy career.
PharmAcademy is a fun and comprehensive learning experience about the diverse career paths in pharmacy from expert pharmacy faculty and practitioners. During this program, high school students will spend five days on the Midwestern University campus learning from Midwestern University faculty, practicing pharmacists, alumni, and current pharmacy students.
The Summer 2024 session will take place from July 15 to July 19, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day, and will include interactive presentations and small group games.
Eligibility
PharmAcademy participants must have completed their sophomore or junior year in high school (graduating classes of 2025 or 2026).
Although not required, it is recommended that students should have at least a 3.0 weighted cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale).
Fees & Registration
The 2024 fee for participation is $210 per student for the full five days, which includes all activity costs, as well as lunch each day. This fee is payable online with a credit card, or you can mail a check made payable to Midwestern University. Please note: Participants are responsible for their daily transportation to campus.
There are two options to submit registration (please select one):
Online option: PharmAcademy Online Registration Form. It includes both the registration form, as well as acceptance of the "Consent for Participation Agreement."
Hard-copy option:

This form may be completed electronically and then printed for submission. Or, this form may be printed first and then completed. Please write legibly.
- Consent for Participation Form
These two forms must be submitted together via fax or email. Please refer to the Registration Form for further details.
Enrollment occurs on a first-come-first-served basis, and there is a maximum of 48 seats in the program. Because there will be be additional communications before and during the program, please be sure that the email addresses entered on the Registration Form are ones that are checked frequently over the summer.
