Application Process
The Kingman Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program offers five PGY-1 positions every year.
Applicants must meet one of the ACGME requirements listed below.
- Must graduate from an Osteopathic Medical School in the United States accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).
- Must graduate from a Medical School in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
- Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada (Foreign Medical Graduates) must possess a current valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or have a full unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. licensing jurisdiction in which they are training.
- Graduates of medical schools outside the United States who have completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school.
Each program sets individual requirements for the documents that should be submitted with the MyERAS® application. Be sure to research each program individually to determine those requirements before assigning documents. Within your MyERAS® account, you must include the following documents:
- Photo
- Personal Statement
- Letter of Recommendation (three)
- COMLEX-USA Transcript (Level 1, Level 2-CE, and Level 2-PE) / USMLE Transcript (Step 1 and Step 2)
- Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE) (or “Dean’s Letter”)
- Medical School Transcript
- Curriculum Vitae
Appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), which requires registration in addition to ERAS.
Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for an interview with the Program Director and selected Faculty. Interviews are conducted from mid-December to mid-January each year.
If your COMLEX and/or USMLE scores are unavailable at the time of ranking, you will not be eligible to be ranked with the NRMP.
