Meet Our Leadership and Faculty of the Kingman Regional Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency
Welcome Statement from Program Leadership
Welcome to the Kingman Regional Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency Program! We’re thrilled you are considering our program, and we know you would love being a part of our “EM family!" We are very proud of our residents and of our program because of its’ many unique features that result in fantastic training! We focus on creating and sustaining a positive and supportive environment for our residents with “wellness” as a top priority. Each faculty member is highly skilled, engaged and committed to teaching our next generation of EM physicians. Our Emergency Department team (physicians, RNs, and staff) are truly a cohesive unit that enjoys working alongside one another. Our residents constantly express that there is no better place to work and train than in our Emergency Department. We have had many residents who have transitioned to becoming members of the medical staff at Kingman Regional Medical Center and several of our core faculty graduated from our residency.
There are no competing hospitals within an hour of our hospital which means that are residents are encountering an incredible variety of pathology not often seen in more highly populated areas. More importantly, there are no competing residencies (surgery, orthopedics, etc.), which results in our residents learning to skillfully manage ALL aspects of resuscitations and trauma activations. This fact also allows our residents to perform an inordinate number of emergent procedures and quickly surpass the ACGME procedure requirements early in their training. Since our residents see an abundance of pathology and have no competing residencies, residents quickly learn to manage all patient types, cases and volumes. Our residents become confident and completely comfortable in practicing in any type of Emergency department setting whether it is a small rural hospital with limited resources or a large Level 1 Trauma center. As a result, our senior residents are highly sought after by physician recruiters and each of our 2024 graduating residents secured their top employment choice. There are many additional qualities that make our program incredible. I hope you will take the time to discover them. You will be glad that you did!
