About Our Curriculum
The curriculum covers a broad range of medical specialties to prepare residents to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Training in pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, geriatric care, and even hospice are just some specialties the residents become comfortable managing. The program includes hands-on experience in clinics, hospitals, and community health centers to ensure residents are well-founded in delivering holistic care to families.
The rotations are structured in four-week blocks, with 13 blocks annually and a Longitudinal Nursing Home experience of approximately one hour per month during PGY-2 and PGY-3.
Osteopathic Principles and Practice are integrated into the teaching during each rotation through experiences in a clinical setting, Osteopathic Medicine & Manipulation Training (OMT) clinic, and OMT hands-on labs and didactics.
