Adebayo James Molehin, Ph.D., M.S.

Dr. Molehin earned his Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; Master of Research (M. Res.) degree from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. He obtained his postdoctoral training at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Australia and at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), USA. He instructed a variety of pre-medical courses at Griffith University, Australia and also taught graduate-level courses

Throughout my academic career, I have had a strong interest in the neural circuit mechanisms that regulate social behavior. I had obtained bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Women, Gender, Sexuality, Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. There, I worked in the lab of Dr. Geert de Vries under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Paul, examining sex differences in the neural circuit mechanisms that regulate social play in rats. I then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Georgia State University, where I worked in the lab of Dr. Elliott Albers. My graduate research focused
