Online Precision Medicine Programs Prepare Students for Genetic and Genomic Applications in Healthcare
Midwestern University’s Master of Science and Post-Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine Programs provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage the latest genetic and genomic technology in their selected healthcare professions, enabling them to identify the safest and most effective treatments for individual patients.
Midwestern University’s College of Health Sciences is offering a new online summer program designed to help prospective Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) students from a wider range of undergraduate experience prepare for graduate studies at the University’s Glendale Campus.
Starting this June, Midwestern University will gradually roll out a modern branding look that includes a new logo to compliment Midwestern’s existing University and College seals.
Midwestern University held its fifth annual Summer Eye Experience (SEE) program offered by the Chicago College of Optometry (CCO). During the course of the program, students gained exposure to the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree, learned about an optometry career via workshops, prepared for admission with their application portfolio, experienced laboratories to learn optometric skills, and viewed a day in the life of an optometry student. There were 28 participants in this year’s SEE event from nine states including Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. In order to qualify for the SEE program, potential participants must be students pursuing an undergraduate degree or a recent graduate. Students in their junior and senior years are given first consideration to join the program.
Thanks to a generous grant funded by APS, 13 high school students from the Mexican American Student Services Department in the Tucson Unified School District visited the Midwestern University Glendale Campus on March 6.
