Supporting Our Students and Safeguarding Their Futures
Thank you for your interest in Midwestern University's Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala and the Chippin' In for Students Golf Outing. These events are important ways for our community to contribute to the future of Midwestern's healthcare professions students by raising funds for scholarships, as well as building and strengthening our University's relationship with you. We are so grateful for your support and partnership.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has required us all to make adjustments and curtail many of our typical activities in order to prevent the spread of this dangerous virus. While our vaccination efforts are helping to ease our society closer to bringing back these activities, we must still exercise good judgment and continue with sensible precautions until we can reach a safe threshold. For this reason, Midwestern University has elected to postpone our large community events for the near term to ensure the safety and health of our students and community in the longer term.
While we will not be hosting the Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala or the Chippin' In for Students Golf Outing this year, we remain dedicated to you, our community. We value our partnerships, our shared trust, and our common resilience. As we continue to work toward a resumption of normalcy, we will strive to maintain our connections with you through virtual formats, as well as in-person contacts as circumstances and vaccination rates allow.
Until we can meet in person and enjoy our community events once again, we hope you will still consider a donation to our Spirit of Service student scholarship fund. Our students have made us so proud this year, as they have adapted to new methods of learning, excelled in the classroom and labs, and continued to find ways to serve the community. Despite the health challenges we have all seen, our students are more committed than ever to becoming healthcare professionals.
Midwestern University will continue to concentrate all of our efforts on ensuring the safety and health of our campus and clinics. We will focus on our healthcare mission of educating our students, treating our patients, and operating our vaccination centers to ensure that this deadly pandemic can be defeated. Your support means more than ever, and you can make a tremendous difference for the future of global healthcare by helping us train the team who will safeguard it.
