Training Resources

HR has created a resource booklet that lists professional trainers who have taken part in our training programs. Managers may review the information and contact them directly for their own department retreats and events. HR has partnered with these professionals to provide trainings that have ranged from navigating conflict, motivation, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills for managers. We are aware that many departments have individual needs, and we hope this list will be a resource for managers. HR continues to work to develop new relationships with professional trainers and will continue to add to this list. For more information, please contact Sarah Hayes, Learning and Development Specialist.

The DiSC Assessment is a great management tool that can be used to understand yourself and your team better. DiSC is an acronym that stands for the four main behavioral styles outlined in the DiSC model of personalities, as pictured above. The DiSC Assessment assigns you to a behavioral style, that will provide valuable insight on how you and your team work and communicate. Each style assists in identifying strengths that can be used in conjunction with their teammates. DiSC is a great tool and resource for developing new teams and enhancing team building events.

The DiSC program is an online assessment, that is administered through Human Resources. If the DiSC Assessment is something you’d like to use for your team, please reach out to Sarah Hayes, Learning and Development Specialist at shayes@midwestern.edu
