Midwestern University invited golfers to tee up to support student scholarships as part of the annual Chippin’ in for Students Golf Classic on June 30th at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, IL. At the event, Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwestern University, welcomed more than 100 golfers, including corporate partners, key supporters, alumni, members of the University’s leadership team, and faculty and staff.

Revenues from sponsorships, golfer participation, and event activities raise funds to help deserving students get the financial support they need to pursue a career in healthcare. At the awards dinner, Amanda M. Bernett, a second-year medical student at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, shared her appreciation for the University’s generous donors in written remarks. “The active role I get to play in changing lives for the better is made possible by all of you,” she wrote. “The support you give me, and every other student that benefits from your generosity, improves not just our lives but the thousands of lives we will reach.”

Midwestern University appreciates the generosity of all the sponsors and players and hosts a similar outing to support students on the Glendale Campus in the spring.
