As osteopathic medical students from the Class of 2022 arrived for orientation at Midwestern University's two campuses in Downers Grove, Illinois, and Glendale, Arizona this summer, they received a brand-new stethoscope with the words "Excel in Leaving a Mark" engraved in the metal.

AZCOM and CCOM students were also treated to a special presentation from the Jason Madachy Foundation.

The Foundation's address was given in honor of the late Jason Madachy, a medical student at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine who passed away unexpectedly in 2007.
