Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine student Rachel Alhanati (CVM 2023) was named the sole national recipient of the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) students on April 20th.

Ms. Alhanati will receive financial assistance covering all tuition and required fees, including books, small equipment items, and supplies needed for study, in addition to other standard educational expenses. She will also receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses.

The Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program (AFHPSP) helps students pursuing careers in the health sciences complete school by providing financial support to the school of their choice. Upon the completion of their degree, AFHPSP recipients commission as Public Health Officers, focusing on disease surveillance and prevention services, vector surveillance and entomology programs, occupational and environmental health programs, and force health management and medical readiness programs.
