Third- and fourth-year College of Dental Medicine-Arizona students and faculty practitioners provided almost $24,000 worth of dental services to Valley kids at the annual Give Kids a Smile event, held on April 23rd at the Midwestern University Dental Institute in Glendale.

Children ages 6 to 14 received free screenings and over 430 treatments including cleanings, sealants, fillings, and extractions. Families also received important information on proper oral health maintenance and disease prevention. The Midwestern University Give Kids a Smile program is part of a nationwide initiative to provide underprivileged children with much-needed dental care.
