CDMA Veterans Dental Day

On Saturday, April 17th, the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (CDMA) at Midwestern University opened the doors of the Midwestern University Dental Institute in Glendale, Ariz., to provide free dental care and consultations to Arizona military veterans.

The Veterans’ Dental Day is an annual event held by CDMA that was begun in spring 2019 as a way to foster community engagement, provide important experiential training for CDMA clinical students, and provide services for veterans who are unable to afford care.

Faculty and students from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona provided more than $30,000 worth of free screenings and treatments, including dental examinations, routine cleanings, sealants, fillings, extractions, consultations about dental implants or dentures, and recommendations for follow-up care, to over 200 veterans.
