Machine to assist patients with harness and and screens all around

The Midwestern University Therapy Institute was recently included in the West Valley Highlights Newsletter for its use of the CAREN: Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment.

The Midwestern University Therapy Institute (in Glendale, AZ) offers clinical psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language services. It is also equipped to provide treatment for acquired brain injuries, low vision and visual rehabilitation services, sports vision services, and vision therapy. One of the things that sets the Therapy Institute apart is its use of the CAREN: Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment. This interactive, immersive virtual reality environment allows faculty to provide advanced clinical evaluation, analysis, and rehabilitation for a variety of neuro-physical conditions.

Currently, there are less than 20 of these machines in the country, and only 50 worldwide. For more information on the MWU Therapy Institute,  go to: https://www.mwuclinics.com/arizona/services/therapy.
