Donna Mehdiyar (CCOM 2026)

Hi everyone. I am Donna, and I am 26. I just finished my first year of medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) at Midwestern University, and I will be starting my second year in August. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I took three gap years. During this time, I moved to San Diego, worked in a few healthcare jobs, and took some time to breathe before starting medical school. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, as well as running in my free time. Although the academics and training to become a physician or any other healthcare professional is tough, the reward at the end of the tunnel is worth it. My advice to everyone is to believe in your passion, find the right balance, and have a support group. The rest will fall in place. I cannot wait to meet you all soon!
