Amanda Abrams (CCOM 2026)
Hi everyone! I am a second-year medical student here at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 with a B.S. in molecular and cellular biology and a minor in psychology. In my three gap years before medical school, I worked as a Research Coordinator for an OB/GYN mental health study, I traveled, and I spent time with family and friends.
During my free time, I love to try new restaurants, go on walks, spend time outside, read, binge a good TV show, and spend time with my dogs. My advice to anyone interested in the healthcare field would be to remember you are worthy, and your path is your own. Be authentic, surround yourself with people that encourage and support you, and take your time getting to where you want to be. I really enjoy mentoring and look forward to meeting you all!
