Peter Flores-Martin (AZCOM 2025)

I majored in journalism at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, and finished my prerequisites for medical school at Glendale Community College. Some of the challenges that I faced getting into medicine were having little science experience in college and switching from journalism. It took a lot of effort to get ready for the MCAT and finally get accepted to Midwestern University, but I am so excited to be in the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine now. I am excited to be able to interact with people and be a part of their stories. One of the things that I loved most about journalism then and look forward to now as a member of the medical field is engaging with others. I hope to someday be a trusted member of a strong community and serve their medical needs to the best of my ability.
