BreAnna Boyle (CGS Biomed 2022 and AZCOM 2026)

I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I got my Bachelor of Science in Education in Health Science Studies with a minor in Public Health from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and I recently earned my Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences here at Midwestern University in June. I will be starting medical school here as well in the fall. My biggest piece of advice as you begin your journey to becoming a healthcare professional would be to not take yourself too seriously; strive for excellence and not perfection. Do well academically and do all the right things, but also take some time to look around and smell the flowers. Find little things that make you happy that don’t involve earning a 4.0. At the end of the day, you are a person outside of your profession – you cannot pour from an empty cup. Get in the habit of taking care of yourself now so that you will be able to thoroughly take care of your patients in the future.
