Choon Loo (AZCOPT 2026)

I am an optometry student with the Arizona College of Optometry (AZCOPT). I grew up in San Francisco, CA, and I went to the University of California San Diego, where I majored in Molecular and Cell Biology. I have a rescue puppy that I love spending most of my time with. Some of my hobbies are shopping and doing nail art. My advice to pre-med/pre-health students is to volunteer and shadow many different doctors to see which field best matches you. Ask many questions or reach out to doctors, mentors, medical students, or your school of interest. Remember to take a break and be open minded.
