Mentorship is an important element of the Midwestern University community philosophy. Our healthcare professions students volunteer their time, energy, and resources to help others as they have been helped in their own lives. During the Health Careers Institute for High School Students, these student mentors answer questions about college preparation and prerequisites, help conduct hands-on labs, plan and direct activities, and serve as examples for high schoolers who, in only a few short years, may be where they are now.
