Confirmed Cases of COVID-19

The Midwestern University community has one or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 as set forth in the chart below. As a result, these individuals and their close contacts within the community are self-isolating. We will do everything we can to support these important members of  our academic and clinical community throughout this difficult time.

Please respect the privacy of these individuals and do not share confidential health information or any identifying characteristics so they can focus on getting well.

Midwestern's Response

Midwestern University is dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of our students, faculty, staff, and the community we serve. Please know that you will be notified if you are identified as someone who has been in contact with, or in close proximity to, an individual associated with Midwestern University who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. 

We will monitor this situation closely and will continue to update the information on our webpage at www.midwestern.edu. Midwestern University remains committed to open and clear communication especially now as we work together to stop the spread of the virus.

Newly Diagnosed with COVID-19  

All members of the Midwestern University community should notify the appropriate person, as set forth below, if they are diagnosed with COVID-19.

  • Students
    Students should contact the Ross Kosinski, Ph.D., Dean of Students, at 623-572-3329, or
    rkosin@midwestern.edu. You will be requested to provide a list of any members of the Midwestern University community you have been in direct contact or close proximity to during the last 14 days so that we can conduct a contact tracing to determine and notify potentially impacted individuals.
  • Faculty and Staff
    Faculty and staff should notify Amy Gibson, M.S., PHR, Director of Human Resources, at 630-515-7198 / 623-572-3247, or agibso@midwestern.edu. You will be requested to provide a list of any members of the Midwestern University community you have been in direct contact or close proximity to during the last 14 days so that we can conduct a contact tracing to determine and notify potentially impacted individuals.

These figures are based on cases reported to Midwestern University.  It excludes students and residents who are at residency or rotation sites that are not on either the Illinois or Arizona campuses.
