More About the Program
Clinical Psychology in Downers Grove
Integrating psychological theory, research, and practice, the Clinical Psychology program prepares you to enter a wide range of occupational roles and professional settings, including outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment clinics, schools, public and private social service agencies, rehabilitation psychology, sports psychology, gerontological counseling, research and testing services, and management consulting firms.
The curriculum incorporates didactic courses, practical experiences, internships, and a practitioner scholar project. The Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) is awarded after five years of study and completion of all requirements.
