AZ: Midwestern University Appoints Dr. Joshua Baker as Assistant Dean of Arizona College of Optometry

Dr. Joshua C. BakerKathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, Midwestern University, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joshua C. Baker, O.D., M.S., as Assistant Dean of the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry (AZCOPT).

Dr. Baker will be assisting the leadership of the College with administrative, academic, and clinical needs. He will also serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor, providing patient care and supervising AZCOPT students at the Midwestern University Eye Institute.

Dr. Baker, originally from Blossvale, New York, comes to Midwestern University after serving as the Chief of Optometry Service at the U.S. Army Health Clinic in Stuttgart. An Army Major, Dr. Baker spent time deployed in Al Asad, Iraq from August 2007 to November 2008 and received the Bronze Star. Dr. Baker received his bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in 1999, earned a Master of Science in Secondary Science Education from Syracuse University in 2001, and graduated Magna cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2005.
