Swedish Covenant Hospital
5145 N. California Ave.
Chicago, IL 60625

Swedish Covenant Hospital, under the auspices of the Evangelical Covenant Church, continues to grow as it provides health and wellness services to the communities of Chicago's North and Northwest sides. As one of the few independent, nonprofit teaching hospitals in the area, Swedish Covenant Hospital remains focused on its mission of compassionate care. More than 550 physicians join Swedish Covenant Hospital's nurses and professional staff to strengthen a foundation of excellence.
The hospital's commitment to patient-centered care includes a host of healing initiatives aimed at helping patients feel better, faster. Special touches such as international patient menus, aromatherapy, and warm blankets are just a few examples of "healing" efforts that make Swedish Covenant Hospital unique among hospitals in Chicago and throughout the nation.
At the same time, Swedish Covenant Hospital ensures the highest quality medical care through accomplished medical professionals, advanced technology and procedures, a strong medical residency program, and leadership in numerous research studies. Some key areas of treatment include heart care, surgical services, pediatrics, women's health, emergency and family medicine, rehabilitation, and home care. The combination of healing efforts and medical expertise is exemplified by the hospital's tagline, The Science of Feeling Better.
Swedish Covenant Hospital is committed to caring for patients as unique whole persons within an atmosphere of professional excellence and human kindness. The hospital's commitment includes a continuous re-examination of programs and priorities to assess and meet changing community needs, a policy that is consistent with Swedish Covenant's basic philosophy.
