The Office of Human Resources provides support and professional development opportunities for faculty, staff and management to enhance personal and professional growth through consultations, e-Learning modules, In-Services and on the job/classroom trainings. It is our goal to promote opportunities that support lifelong learning and assist individuals to work effectively together within their departments and throughout the university community. Learning and Development will assist with adapting to change, increasing productivity, recognizing quality of work, and supporting career development.

On-line Compliance Training

Midwestern University uses an on-line training system called EVERFI. All faculty, staff, executives and residents are assigned mandatory courses through EVERFI. Mandatory courses assist Midwestern University in meeting standard compliance requirements. Additional courses refer to university best practices and code of conduct. There are 5 mandatory courses assigned to new hires after 30 days:

  • Anti-Harassment / Discrimination
  • Diversity
  • FERPA
  • HIPAA
  • Bloodborne Pathogens

Annual training for staff and faculty is on an ongoing rotation – those courses include Anti-Harassment / Discrimination plus any of the following:

  • Diversity
  • FERPA
  • HIPAA
