Apollo Mentoring Program

Apollo Mentoring Program

A brainchild of the CCOM Alumni Association, the Apollo Mentoring Program was launched by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations in the winter of 2002 as a way to involve a very special group of individuals — those with outstanding experiences who could guide and facilitate learning — to help educate Midwestern University students.

Who are these special people? You, the mentor alumni of Midwestern University.

Named after Apollo, the Greek deity who gave the medical caduceus staff to the god Hermes, the program has inspired nearly 200 Midwestern University graduates from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Chicago College of Pharmacy, the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Pharmacy–Glendale, and the College of Health Sciences to connect with those who will soon be following in their footsteps as health care professionals.

The no-cost program offers a chance for students and mentors to build relationships and network in today’s fast-paced world through the convenience of e-mail. Our students say the information from our alumni has been invaluable. Our alumni say the response from our students has been most gratifying!
